Why Share
It is the duty and responsibility of every believer to share the good news that Jesus saves sinners. The reality is that 61% of Southern Baptists have not shared their faith in the last six months.
Calvary is passionate about reaching our city for King Jesus. We want to tell the world about what Jesus has done for us, and how His death and resurrection have changed us. We want to encourage you to tell your story.

What to Say
Not sure what to say? No problem. Below is a simple template that you can use to help you prepare. Feel free to use this or modify it however you like.
Start with this sentence: “I’m _____ and this is my story.”
Before I met Jesus my life was. . .
(Example) I’m John Doe and this is my story. Before I met Jesus my life was missing something. I had a good job. I spent a lot of time with my friends. I had everything I could want in life but still something was missing. I tried sports, relationships and partying to fill this void in my life. Nothing worked.
I surrendered to Jesus when . . .
(Example) One day, my friend told me that only Jesus could fill the void in my life. I learned that no amount of money or pleasure would fill the void in my life. My friend told me that because God created me, only he could fill this void in my life. I learned that my sin separated me from God forever. My friend told me that going to church or trying to be good can’t fix the problem of my sin; only Jesus could forgive my sin. Jesus did that for me when he took my place and died on the cross for me 2000 years ago. Jesus wants us to turn from our sin to him as our savior. That day, I prayed and surrendered my life to Jesus.
When I realized this, I said a prayer something like this: Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and I am sorry for that. I believe that you sent Jesus to earth to die on the cross for my sins. I believe that Jesus rose again to promise me eternal life. Please forgive me for all my sins and help me to never turn back to them. I confess you to the world as my Lord and Savior and trust you alone for my salvation. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Amen.
My life now . . .
(Example) Now that Jesus is my savior, my life has never been the same again. I have found peace that I have never known before. Though I still go through some hard times, I know that Jesus is with me. What Jesus did for me, he can do for you also. Would you like to know that your sins are forgiven and you belong to the family of God? Are you willing to turn from your sins and trust Jesus right now? Then simply say the prayer I prayed and you too will be saved.
