Purpose: 

This trip aims to come alongside our strategic partners, Patrick and Katie, to encourage and support different areas of their ministry. We will primarily focus on city mapping the area they serve.

Missionary efforts require more than knowing the names and locations of streets and restaurants in the city. City mapping is studying and visually representing a city’s demographics, social needs, and geographic features to strategically plan and target outreach efforts within a community. Our church will assist Patrick and Katie in developing a map of the area they serve. This map will have three layers: geographic (physical layout of the city), social (where people live, work, shop, and play), and spiritual (where/what people worship, revere, and fear). 

This November, you will have the opportunity to be a part of this effort. We are organizing a mission trip to France, where volunteers will participate in city mapping to help develop a strategic plan to reach this community with the hope of Jesus. You do not need to be fluent in French to participate in this trip. Each group will be paired with translators to help facilitate our work.

These small activities will lead to churches being planted and communities being transformed by the Gospel.

By joining this mission trip, you will join the work of bringing hope to the nations. You’ll have the chance to be on the front lines of the mission work by preparing the way for others to come and share the good news of God’s redemptive story.

Group Size: 

This trip is limited to unlimited.

Travel: 

We will fly from Atlanta to Nice, France, where Patrice and Katie will pick us up. Once we arrive in Nice, we will travel to our hotel. We will utilize trains and rental cars to get around the city and other ministry sites.

Lodging: 

We will stay in various hotels around Nice, depending on the ministry sites. 

Requirements:

• A passport that has not expired for less than 6 months from departure. 
• Flexibility 
• Able to walk long distances

You do not need any vaccinations for France. 

• Do I need any city mapping experience to participate in this trip? 

We will receive training when we arrive, and they will give us step-by-step instructions throughout the entire process. You do not need to have prior experience to participate.
