God is At Work….Let’s Grow

In Henry Blackaby’s Experiencing God, he encourages us to watch to see where God is working and join Him in His work.

For the past year, we have been seeing a significant increase in families wanting to partner with Calvary for Christian Education. Our school has seen enrollment growth this year putting our student body at over 750 students.

But the past few month, however, we have had scores of families completing applications, visiting campus, and enrolling students for the Fall of 2022. We are on track to be able to serve 800 students this Fall. This has been a God thing. He has been bringing families to Calvary Christian School and it is exciting!

This does present a space challenge, however. We do not have enough classrooms to accommodate the students. We want to join God in His work. We want to do what is necessary to partner with these families that God is bringing to the school. 

God, in his providence, has made a way. We own the 6 acres and 2 buildings right at the Moon Road entrance to our campus (known as the Omega property). This building, along with some modifications to the elementary and high school building will provide enough classroom space to serve the families God is bringing to the school.

Here is the current plan:

  • The Omega building will be upgraded and prepped for ministry occupation by the church and school.
  • The school offices of the Headmaster, Admissions, and Finance will move to the Omega building making space for two classrooms in the High School building.
  • The office of the Lead pastor, the church staff, and church offices will relocate to the Omega building freeing up space for 3 classrooms in the Elementary building.
  • The Media Center will be divided into 4 classrooms making additional space for Discover School and High School classes
  • The Elementary library will be relocated to the elementary building.

This will have some impact on some of our LifeGroup classes and Wednesday night classes. We are working through those logistics and will have details in the coming months.

We are excited about what God is doing and how we get to partner with Him in His work.
