Kenya Mission Trip 2023 – Prayer Guide

We are on the go again! This time we have a team going to Kenya to continue our partnership with New Birth Outreach and other partner ministries. This is our first team that has traveled to Kenya, and we are excited to see all the Lord will do in us and through us. We partner with local churches, boarding schools, and orphanages to serve children and families in underserved communities. We aim to install an irrigation system, lead a pastor’s conference, and provide medical clinics. 

Churches going on missions encompasses much more than just the team traveling to a new city. For a church to engage in missions appropriately, there is a team that goes, a group to send and support the go-ers, and a team that prays for the work being done. We all have a role and opportunity to engage in missions by being a go-er, send-er, and pray-er. 

Our team is excited to be used by God on this mission trip, and we are thankful to Calvary Baptist church and its members for sending us out to expand the Kingdom of God in Kenya. We are grateful to partner with New Birth Outreach in this endeavor. As Calvary sends us out, we ask you to pray for our team while we are away. I have created this prayer guide and encourage you to pray for us as we are on mission to Kenya. 

Day 1 — Relationships that will be formed and strengthened by this experience 

• For our partnership with New Birth Outreach 
• For our team bonding 
• For the church and pastors, we will connect with

Day 2 — Our time and efforts on the farm and medical clinics

• For safety 
• For teamwork 
• For us to be productive 
• For no injuries 

Day 3 — Times of worship and Spiritual conversations 

• For opportunities to witness to the students at the boarding school 
• For opportunities to encourage and strengthen local Pastors
• For God to encourage our team and speak to us
• For the Holy Spirit to guide our words and actions

Day 4 — Pray for the health, safety, and travel of our team

• For the traveling mercies
• For the physical health of everyone
• For the spiritual health of the team 

Day 5 — Pray for the members of the trip 

• For each team member  
• For our families back home 
• That we will encounter God 
• That our lives will be transformed

Day 7 — Pray for the transition back home

• For the continued desire to engage with people we ministered to 
• For opportunities to take lessons we learned there and apply them back home
