Estimated $3,200 (airfare will be the most significant factor)

Travel: 

Leave out of Atlanta International Airport and fly to Nairobi, Kenya. Once we land in Nairobi, we will link up with Carlos and his team and be picked up and taken to our hotel.

Lodging: 

More information to come. Last year, I stayed in a well-known hotel near the airport. Once we have secured our rooms, I will share the hotel information. 

Group Size: 

6-10 would be the ideal size for this team 

Purpose: 

The team will be based most of our time in a village outside of Nairobi. We will Work in the region daily on a farm, church service, or school. We will return to Nairobi for lodging each night. We will spend a day at the AIC Girls School. Each day while in the fields, we will have a team assembling irrigation systems on small farms to aid in growing crops during the dry season. Also, we will have classes for clergy and laypersons of all ages and genders. Everywhere we travel, we will distribute bibles in their native language and English. Sunday, we will worship at local churches.

Our goal for this trip is: 

  • Build 2 irrigation farms
  • Provide two medical clinics with malaria medicine, flu shots, Covid-19 vaccines, wellness checks, health education, etc.
  • Bible distributions in the native language and English to provide spiritual growth to all. 
  • ACI all-girls school sponsorships, courtyard repair, painting, and more. 
  • Teaching church leaders to strengthen their leadership in the Gospel 
  • Revival meetings and baptisms.

We will serve in three unique capacities: medical missions, irrigation installation, and encouraging/ strengthening church leadership.

Requirements:

  • A passport that is not expired less than six months before the trip 
  • You will need a visa for Kenya (more information to come)
  • Flexible spirit 
  • Willingness to serve and love people we encounter

Medications and Vaccines:

Recommended vaccines

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Malaria 
  • Typhoid 

Safety: 

As with any trip, there is a level of risk. However, we will always travel in a group, and no one will venture alone. The people we are going with have worked in Kenya for the last eight years and had no safety issues. We typically do not travel at night unless it is on a well-lit major highway. $200 deposit when you register 

$1,000 – April 30th

$1,000 – May 28th

$1,000 – June 25th

You can submit payment online through your registration portal or send a check to the church offices, make sure ‘Kenya missions’ and your name is in the check’s memo line.
