Mexico Mission: Making a House a Home
Help Us Make a House a Home for the Vea Zavala Family
In August, our Calvary team will travel to Ensenada, Mexico, to build a home for the Vea Zavala family: Guadalupe (46) and her sons, Iram (21) and Isidro (18). Guadalupe works as a Production Safety Supervisor for a gas company and is the sole provider for her family. Nearly a year ago, an electrical fire destroyed everything they owned, forcing them to move from one rental home to another as they work to rebuild their lives.
The Vea Zavala family has faithfully attended Pastor Gustavo Osorio’s church for nearly ten years. Through our partnership with YUGO Ministries, we have the opportunity to help provide something every family deserves—a safe, stable place to call home.
Our crew (partnering with YUGO Ministries) will build a fully functioning house, but we want to move the family into a fully furnished home. That means:
- House Basket (basic furnishings & kitchen supplies)
- Food Basket
- Beds and mattresses
- Curtain rods & curtains
- Outhouse
These extras cost more than the construction budget, so every gift to ActsOne8 during August will go directly to outfitting the Vea Zavala home.
