I am typically an early adopter of new tech, and have used wearable technology for several years. One advantage of these devices is the frequent monitoring of vital signs, like heart rate. The ability to track target heart rates during a workout, or monitor stress by assessing your resting heart rate, these tools can be beneficial to health.

What if there was a way to monitor your spiritual heart health? While it may not be in the form of wearable tech, it certainly is evidenced by wearable faith. As we demonstrate our faith in God every day, we have the ability to better see Him clearly.
Matthew 5:8 makes an undeniable connection with the purity of our heart and our ability to see God. The idea behind purity is “unmixed”. So often we allow selfishness, culture, sin, and circumstances to mingle in our heart and result in motives that are not pure. These distractions can result in improper focus, scarred choices, and cloud our view of God.
Even when we can’t see Him, He is working around us. What if we could see Him clearly in sunset skies and in the storms of life? With a lens of faith that is focused on Him we can choose to celebrate Him and praise Him in a storm. We can commit to give Him glory in our victories. We can see Him with a pure heart that He provides.
Consider this opportunity to check your motives. There may be times that we are motivated to “obey” God just because we want to get something from Him. Instead, choose to pursue Him and trust Him out of a genuine desire to grow in a relationship that will lead you to see Him more clearly and truly experience the blessed life He has planned for you.
Choose to see God in the little thing and celebrate Him out loud when you see Him at work around you. WE WANT TO SEE YOUR GLORY, GOD! But understand that to live pure in heart requires More of Him and Less of Me!
