Operation Christmas Child Packing Party

Join us for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on Saturday, November 15th from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Cafeteria.

This mission event is for the whole family! Stick around at the end for cookies and hot chocolate in Hightower Hall!

To make this day a success, we need your help!

First, even if you can’t make the party itself, you can help by bringing in items to pack in the shoeboxes. We’re hoping to pack at least 1,000 boxes on this day to contribute to our final shoebox count, so we need a lot of items to make this happen! Every gift of school supplies, non-liquid hygiene items, and toys helps us get there. Drop off items in the collection bins in the Welcome Center, Hightower Hall, and the Lobby on Sundays or in the church office during the week.

Use our Amazon wishlist to easily choose items we need and have them shipped straight to the church!

As of 9/30/25….

Our most needed items are:

• Coloring Books (the best places to buy these are Walmart [$1] and Dollar Tree [$1.50], but they are also on our Amazon Wishlist.)
• Scissors
• Wide Tooth Combs

We have completed the collection of the following items (THANK YOU!):

• Pencils
• Pens
• Glue Sticks
• Wow Items
• Spiral Notebooks
• Pencil Sharpeners
• Erasers
• Toothbrushes

You can also donate money toward this effort by writing OCC on your check or giving envelope, or by giving online and choosing “Operation Christmas Child” in the dropdown menu. We need donated items and monetary donations by noon on Wednesday, November 5th.

Secondly, come and pack with us! We’re going to get started at 10:00 a.m. and pack until noon, or until all the boxes are finished.

Grab, Pack, Stack, Repeat

Our Packing Party is an opportunity for you to help us pack the items that people have donated. We’ll have stations set up for all the various items available to pack. Grab a box, walk around, place items inside, prepare them for shipping, and then repeat the process. It’s so much fun! At the end, we’ll stack the boxes and pray over them.

Prayer is so important. Please be in prayer now for Operation Christmas Child. Pray about how God would like for you to be involved. Pray for our efforts to collect boxes, the volunteers throughout Samaritan’s Purse who will deliver the boxes, and especially for the recipients of the boxes. OCC is a wonderful way for us to help spread the gospel and make disciples.

If you want to bring in your already-filled boxes this day, you can do that as well! The last Sunday to turn in boxes is November 16th.
