Psalm 110
The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” The Lord sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

I. Jesus Is Lord

The issue today is not whether we admire Jesus. The issue is whether we bow.

II. Jesus Is King

Every day, every choice, every relationship, every dollar, every plan, every dream, every wound, every hidden thought belongs under the feet of Jesus.

III. Jesus Is Our Priest

  • I confess my sin and turn to Jesus as King for the first time.
  • I commit to live as Jesus is King over every area of life.

  1. Read Hebrews 7:23-25. What does it mean that Jesus “always lives to make intercession” for His people? How should this encourage believers who feel weak, guilty, or distant from God?
  2. Psalm 110:1 says Christ reigns “until” His enemies are made His footstool. Where do you feel the tension of the “already” and “not yet” in your life right now?
  3. How should the truth that Jesus is both King and Priest shape the way Calvary carries hope, builds intentional relationships, pursues Jesus, and makes disciples this week?
