Q3 2022

The Strategic Plan Implementation Team has met twice this quarter. During our first meeting we made plans for how we would track progress of the Strategic Plan (SP). During our second meeting we heard reports from the teams that are currently underway. Recommendations were given and action steps were presented.

We are currently working on three elements of the plan. They are as follows:

  • Conduct a Demographic Study. This team is in the final stages of data collection. They expanded their reach to ensure a better sample from the church family. Project delivery is scheduled for September 2022.
  • Develop Guidelines for Missions and Ministry. The team is developing guidelines to determine missions and ministry support and how to implement those guidelines.
  • Discipleship Mobilization. This team has worked to develop a framework to communicate what Calvary means to be a follower of Jesus. The team is working to clarify and develop deliverables in September 2022.
  • Launch Class to Develop Spiritual Gifts. This fall, we will launch a class to help people identify their Spiritual Gifts and how they are S.H.A.P.E.d to use them for ministry.

A team is being developed to work on the standards of excellence goal of the Plan. Alan Smith is leading this team and will have an initial report by the end of Q2 2023.

Q2 2022

To help keep our strategic plan on track, we have developed a Strategic Plan Implementation Team chaired by Mark Holladay. The team consists of Mark Holladay, Tim Johnson, Ricky Smith, and Alan Smith. The team will begin meeting quarterly to monitor progress and make suggestions for implementing the plan. Alan Smith will take the recommendations of the team and work to implement those recommendations.

We are currently working on three elements of the plan. They are as follows:

  • Conduct a Demographic Study. The team is gathering information and data about our community and is currently collecting data from our church members via a survey.
  • Develop Guidelines for Missions and Ministry. The team is developing guidelines to determine missions and ministry support and how to implement those guidelines.
  • Discipleship Mobilization. The team is developing a clear understanding of how Calvary will implement and communicate discipleship.

The plan for the next quarter is to develop a team to work on developing standards of excellence across our various ministries. They will gather and work on scope and timeline for delivery. The projected timeline would be delivered  by the end of Q2 2023.

Q1 2022

The Pastors and Deacons organized the goals into a proposed timeline that began in Q1 2022. There are three goals that are actively being developed. There will be additional teams started in Q3 to begin developing plans for goals.

Highlights

The following goals are currently being developed.

  • Demographic Study. Led by Josh Bryson. The goal is to better understand who we are reaching, and do a demographic analysis to let the numbers provide focus.
  • Guidelines for Missions and Ministry Support. Led by Pastor Philip. The goal is to establish guidelines for missions and ministry support and how to support local and global missions.
  • Discipleship Mobilization. Led by Pastor Ricky. The goal is to communicate what it means to follow Jesus (the disciple life).

Next Steps

During the next quarter, we should get a completed report from the Demographic Study, which will be used to direct a few of the upcoming goals for the year. A final report for guidelines to establish missions and ministry support will be completed, which will allow us to move forward with additional goals in the plan.

We will be launching two teams to establish excellence standards for Calvary and review and establish staff development standards.
