Support Pastor Michael King
We want to express our love and care for Pastor Michael King.
On April 27, 2022, Michael was diagnosed with widely metastatic testicular cancer. He has been in the hospital at UAB in Birmingham getting treatment.
Michael has served at Calvary Baptist Church for the past ten years and as the Worship Pastor since 2017. He has been doing what he loved and what God has called him. In order for him to focus on his recovery, Michael has resigned his position at Calvary effective May 13, 2022.
He has a long road of recovery ahead. He is focusing on chemo treatment, rehab, and physical therapy. It is his prayer and ours that Michael will be able to return to Calvary and serve one day. But for now, we want to love him, care for him, and encourage him.
His family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the mounting medical expenses. We want to invite you to prayerfully consider how you can support Michael.
You can pray for his health and recovery. Pray the doctors craft an excellent treatment plan that his body will respond to quickly.
