Purpose: 

 The vision of Christ Laborers Church is to disciple and equip individuals to share the good news of Jesus with the unreached in Tanzania. Pastor Vincent Komba is the Lead Pastor of the church, and their mission is to plant healthy churches across Tanzania. They are prioritizing reaching communities without a church and few disciples. Since 2018, they have planted 20 churches throughout Tanzania. Vincent has a heart for discipleship and is gifted in equipping the body of Christ to evangelize unreached communities in Tanzania. The purpose of our trip will be to come alongside this church and organize outreaches, door-to-door evangelism, and revivals in communities and villages that need to be reached with the Gospel.  

Group Size:

The ideal group size for this trip is between 4-7 people. 

Travel:

We will fly from Atlanta, Georgia, to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a layover. Once we arrive in Dar, we will be picked up by our missionary partners who live in Tanzania. They will then drive us to the hotel where we will be staying.  

Lodging:

 There are a few different hotels we stay at in Tanzania. They are African-based hotels that we have stayed at numerous times and developed relationships with the owners. We do not have a website for any of the hotels, but they are equipped with running water (it might not be hot, but it is clean), breakfast, air conditioning, and other comforts. A breakfast buffet is available at the hotels. Lunch will be something you can take on the go to eat on-site wherever you are serving. You will need to pack easy-to-eat snacks with you each day. Dinner will be either at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant. We have vetted every place we have eaten to ensure the food is safe and OK to consume. 

Requirements:

• A passport that has not expired less than 6 months from the date of departure
• Malaria pills

Packing List:

• Passport (copy of passport ) 
• Vaccination Card
• Travel pillow
• Water bottle
• Snacks for lunch (protein bars, trail mix, etc.)
• Towel for showers 
• Bible, notebook, pen 
• Toiletries 
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Work Clothes (may get ruined) 
• Closed-toe shoes for worksite and casual shoes 
• Spending money (there is a local market)
• Personal medical items (glasses, prescriptions, etc.) 

Safety:

We will be staying at two well-known and safe hotels in Tanzania. We will always travel in groups and use drivers who know who are connected to the church’s ministry. Vincent has hosted many teams over the years, and due to his work in the community, he has developed a level of respect and trust that has also extended to the teams he brings. There have not been any security concerns with any team that is connected to the church that we know of.

There are no required vaccinations.
