Tanzania Mission Trip 2024 – Prayer Guide
We are on the go again! This time, we have a team going to Tanzania, where we are encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ, visiting with people in the community, and developing a pastoral ministry to train church members to become pastors. This is our third team that has traveled to Tanzania, and we are excited to see all the Lord will do in us and through us. We aim to equip local leaders to help develop church members to be disciples who make disciples where they live, work, learn, and play.
Churches engaging in missions encompass much more than just the team traveling to a new location. For a church to engage in missions appropriately, there is a team that goes, a group to send and support the goers, and a team that prays for the work being done. We all have a role and opportunity to engage in missions by being goers, senders, and prayers.Â
Our team is excited to be used by God on this mission trip, and we are thankful to Calvary Baptist church and its members for sending us out to encourage and work with our brothers and sisters in Tanzania. We are grateful to partner with a Christ Laborers Church in this endeavor. As Calvary sends us out, we ask you to pray for our team while we are away. I have created this prayer guide and encourage you to pray for us as we are on mission to Tanzania.Â
Day 1 — Pray for our traveling mercies as we make our way across the pond. Â
- for the physical health of every team member
- for the Lord to go before us and prepare the way
- for protection as we travel from village to village.
Day 2 — Pray for our team to be unified and work together to accomplish the task
- for deep relationships to form
- for team unity
- that we accomplish all that God has for us to accomplish
Day 3 — Pray for our times of worship and Spiritual conversationsÂ
- for opportunities to share Jesus with others
- that people hear and respond to the Gospel
- that people will be sent out to carry hope in Tanzania
- for the Holy Spirit to guide our words and actions
Day 4 — Pray for our Ministry Partners
- for Christ Laborers Church
- for their 20 church plants and their pastors
- for their pastor, Vincent Komba
- for wisdom and guidance regarding our future partnership
Day 5 — Pray for the Pastoral Ministry that is being developed
- that God will raise up men to become pastors in new church plants
- for wisdom and discernment
- for the effectiveness of the pastor’s ministry
Day 6 — Prayer for the members of the trip
- for family members back home
- for our lives to be changed
- that God will use this experience to strengthen our walk with Him
Day 7 — Pray for the transition back home
- for the continued desire to engage with people we ministered toÂ
- for opportunities to take lessons we learned there and apply them back homeÂ
- for more opportunities for people to go on mission
Day 8 — Pray for the continued work in Tanzania
- for Vincent and other church leaders
- for God to send additional partners who will support Christ Laborers Church
- for God to raise up people to go to Tanzania next year
