Calvary Baptist Church is devoted family who loves God and loves our neighbor. Jesus is the head of this church and we strive to follow his leadership as a family. We have appointed Pastors among us to serve as Elders and lead the church under the direction of the Holy Spirit. We have appointed Deacons who serve the the church and the family at Calvary. Additionally, there are some women who serve Calvary as leaders of specific ministries. These men and women are qualified Christians whose lives show they are devoted to following Jesus and have been given authority to lead this congregation by the people of this church.

What We Believe
We are a bunch of Christ’s followers ready to make an impact in our community and around the world. We are a devoted family who loves God and loves our neighbor. We believe that the people are the church and it is our responsibility to live for our King, Jesus Christ, in all that we do.
People of Purpose
Calvary Baptist Church is a people who have joined together to “Carry out the great commission through healing hurts and meeting needs.
People of Prayer
God invites his people into a close, intimate relationship with him. Perhaps, one of the greatest privileges on this relationship is the privilege of prayer! Knowing that the King of Heaven stands ready to hear and answer our prayers because of the blood of his Son gives God’s people confidence to boldly go to him with our needs, requests and every other aspect of our lives. Calvary Baptist Church considers it an honor to speak honestly and passionately to God in prayer.
People of Passion
We believe that Jesus is passionate about people. Therefore, Calvary Baptist Church is passionate about people also. We are passionate about seeing unbelieving people find freedom, hope and peace through a personal relationship with Christ. We are also passionate about seeing God’s Holy Spirit at work in the lives of his people. And finally we are passionate about seeing the Kingdom of God advanced here on earth.
People who Worship
We believe that the most intimate expression of our love for God is worship. We desire our corporate celebration to be a time of great refreshing for everyone involved. Our goal in worship is to glorify God and engage His presence. We sincerely hope that you feel the freedom to worship God the way He deserves- with all of your heart.
People who Witness
Jesus said that we are to make disciples of all nations. We encourage our people to pay attention to and be responsible for the “zone,” or area of influence, that God has given them. This could be a neighborhood, school, workplace, or little league team. As a church family, we believe that our “zone” is the Chattahoochee Valley.
We also take seriously Christ’s call to the nations. We love giving to missions, praying for missions, and going on mission!
Membership
Members at Calvary Baptist Church covenant with each other, before God, to impact each other’s lives and spread the story of Jesus across our city and around the world.
At Calvary we believe that membership matters. Therefore, we require anyone interested in joining our church to attend a membership class. This three-week class is taught each month by one of our pastors. The first session is the opportunity for potential members to demonstrate evidence of their personal faith in Jesus as savior. The next session discusses Calvary’s strategy to build Jesus’ church and to change our city. The final session describes the structure for ministry.
Membership at Calvary is a deliberate process designed to take people from casual attenders, explain what it means to be part of a congregation and equipping them to become the core of our church.
Baptism
Baptism is a visible display to the church and the world that Jesus has transformed your heart.
We believe that Jesus’ baptism was an example for us to follow. Therefore, we believe that all sincere followers of Jesus are commanded to be baptized. Once someone accepts Jesus as Savior we challenge them to immediately begin the process toward baptism.
