FAMILY DESCRIPTION: Married 30 years to his high school sweetheart Carol. Three kids: Joy, who is married to Matt Samsel and mom to Liam; James III who is a worship pastor in Arizona, and Jonathan, a Junior at Calvary Christian.

EDUCATIONAL AND MINISTRY EXPERIENCE: Graduate of Bryan College (TN) and Augusta College (GA). Thirty years in Christian education as Music Teacher (Augusta GA), Principal (Delray Beach, FL), Headmaster (Silver Spring MD and Florence AL) and Superintendent (Lansing MI and Phoenix AZ)

FUN FACTS: Born in Bangkok Thailand; lived in Cambodia and Kuwait; studied in England and spent three summers as teen missionary in Brazil, Scotland and Papua New Guinea.

FAVORITE RESTAURANT DISH: Steak… just good old American red meat.
