Yugo Ministries – Mexico Mission Trip
Hello, church family!
We are preparing for our second mission trip to Mexico, and we want to introduce the family we will connect with while we are there! Meet the Leon Castro Family! It is our joy and privilege to build a house for this family and share the love of Jesus. We pray this act of kindness will transform their lives, and they will experience Christ’s love through our actions.
Francisco and Maria live in Uruapan, a town south of Ensenada. They met three years ago because their families are close friends. Francisco is a fisherman, and Maria is a housewife caring for their 2 old son, Sebastian. Yugo Ministries informed us that Francisco and Maria do not have any belongings; everything belongs to the homeowner they rent from.
The Leon Castro family lives in a small rural community called Uruapan, south of Ensenada. This area of the city is home to thousands of migrant families who came from southern states of Mexico looking for better opportunities. Many ‘colonies’ don’t have the most basic services, such as running water, electricity, and sewage systems. However, these areas are often the ones that offer the lowest prices to acquire a piece of land, and for that reason, many families will buy in those areas despite the lack of services.
We need your help! We want to care for this family and set them up for success! As a church, we have already provided financial support for the building materials for the home. Now, we need help raising funds to furnish the house with tables, beds, clothes, food baskets, solar power panels, water cisterns, and home supplies. Please pray about how you can engage in this mission opportunity by contributing toward the cost of furnishing the home!
