Many of our families request a public dedication ceremony in which they vow to be responsible to the Lord for the way they will raise their children.  We do not practice infant baptism or a christening, but, just as Hannah dedicated her son to the Lord in 1 Samuel chapter 1, and as Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple during his infancy, parents bring their newborn before the congregation to publicly commit to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).

The presentation of infants to the Lord and His church is more a dedication of parents than of the child. Therefore, parents who are interested in this dedication must have a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Baby dedications are scheduled by contacting the pastor’s ministry assistant. Call the church office (706-322-1491), email cbc@calvaryministries.com, or speak to one of our staff ministers on Sunday.
