Transformation

About a month ago kids and parents walked into the church for the first day of Kids Jam. To their surprise, the entire space had been transformed to feature the “Wild Life” theme. Classrooms became safaris, hallways became jungles, and animals seemingly roamed the campus. It was impressive and beautiful. 

This transformation didn’t just happen on its own. While no one took it for granted, I think few realize the countless hours spent preparing props and organizing the space transformation. I am so grateful for our volunteers who made this happen. 

Reflecting on this I am reminded of how often we walk through our day and into moments that He has ordained with little to no thought of all He has done to orchestrate divine appointments and intersections where we are to impact the Kingdom or be tested in our faith. 

Deuteronomy 31:8 reveals a part of God’s nature that He goes before us and comes behind us. He is already at work before we ever arrive. If we better understood this we would pray differently. 

So often our prayers sound like we are bringing God breaking news. He does not need to be informed of our situation but desires us to boldly approach Him with an understanding of His perfect will and supreme authority. Hebrew 4:14-16 should remind us of this.
