OCC Pre-Party Volunteers

As we get ready for our Operation Christmas Child Packing Party on November 12th, we are in need of volunteers for several areas. Please read the list of needs, and sign up below if you are able to serve.

Pre-Packing

We will pre-pack school supplies and hygiene items on November 1st and 2nd. This event will take place in the Studio, which is located just across the parking lot from the Hub at the bottom of the Worship Center stairs.

It is very possible with enough volunteers, we may only need to work on this on Tuesday the 1st. If you sign up for Wednesday the 2nd, please check back on this webpage or social media to see if we still need volunteers that day.

Folding Boxes

On Tuesday, November 8th, and Wednesday, November 9th, we will fold and label all the boxes for the Packing Party. This folding session will take place in Hightower Hall.

It is very possible with enough volunteers, we may only need to work on this on Tuesday the 8th. If you sign up for Wednesday the 9th, please check back on this webpage or social media to see if we still need volunteers that day.

Packing Party Set Up

The OCC Packing Party is on Saturday, November 12th. Beginning Thursday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m., we unpack all of the items we’ve collected for the party and begin sorting them on tables. It takes all day Thursday and Friday to set up the party. You don’t have to commit to the whole time, but at least two hours of serving is most helpful. Lots of hands are needed to accomplish this preparation. There are some sit-and-sort jobs as well as jobs that require a lot of lifting, bending and carrying. Due to the work environment of this particular task, we are unable to allow children under 12 to be present, but we would love to see them at the Packing Party!
